In North Yorkshire, the A1M is closed northbound between J49 and J51 near Sinderby due to a collision.

It was previously closed between J50 and J51, but the closure has been extended to help clear traffic caught within the closure.

The Fire Service are continuing to clear the load at scene and will then try and separate the vehicles ready for recovery.

Traffic is being diverted from J49  via the ‘Hollow Circle’ diversion route.
Exit the A1M using the J49 exit slip road and proceed along the A168 for approximately 8 miles. Here, the road changes its name to become the A19.
Proceed along the A19 for approximately 29 miles to the A689 junction.
Exit the A19 and continue on the A689 westbound to the next roundabout.
At the roundabout take the first exit onto the A689 and continue for 0.5 miles to the next roundabout.
At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A689 and continue for 1 mile to the next roundabout.
At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A689 and continue for 4 miles until the next roundabout with the A177.
At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A689 and proceed along this road for another mile until you get to the A177 (Sands Hall Roundabout).
At the roundabout take the second exit onto the A689 and continue for 2 miles to the junction with the A1M. Follow signs to rejoin northbound.
